This is the story of how people from vastly different professional and personal backgrounds came together to form an innovative team that would change the landscape of LA real estate sales and marketing. When Gerardo and Rotimi first met in 1999, it seemed their friendship was destined to evolve into a business venture involving real estate and finance. Born in West Africa, Rotimi had just earned his Master’s Degree from USC and was working on his Juris Doctorate when he met Gerardo from Orange County. Gerardo was an executive in mortgage banking and he was eager to learn both sides of the business. He witnessed his father build the family’s nest egg by successfully buying and selling investment properties. Rotimi and Gerardo soon discovered their shared passion for the real estate industry and joined forces. In 2007, they created LA Group Realty and Keller Williams was the right fit for their business model. An entrepreneurial spirit combined with sophisticated services sealed the deal. Michael Flanagan, who hails from Limerick, Ireland joined Keller Williams in 2008 and had a gift for business development. Gerardo and Rotimi recognized Michael's talent and immediately recruited him to the team.
Michael's affection for real estate began after he graduated from the University of Galway. He set off on an adventure traveling through Europe and the US, finally landing in Los Angeles. Working with the LA Group team propelled Michael’s career, and his enthusiasm to help grow the business continues today.
Michael and Gerardo were attending a marketing workshop and Tom Maloney was the speaker. Tom shared his expertise regarding branding, social media, and inventive marketing ideas for today's real estate market. This was just what they were looking for, a marketing leader to guide the growing enterprise and continue building the brand. The trio proposed that Tom join the group and combine their areas of expertise to strengthen the team.
Today, LA Group Realty is truly a team of experts with each member bringing their unique talent to the group. Tom, a licensed CA and FL real estate broker, continues to share his ideas and speaks at real estate training seminars across North America. Rotimi is a CA licensed real estate attorney and continues his volunteer work at the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law, and the Legal Aid Foundation of LA. Gerardo is involved in LA Special Olympics and runs marathons for his favorite charities. Michael still travels abroad or you might see him on a surfboard catching some waves on the coast.

As a native Southern Californian, he understands the desirability to buy and sell property in the Golden State. Growing up in Orange County, he witnessed his father build the family’s nest egg by consistently buying and selling real estate. That was when he decided to start a career in real estate. Prior to joining Keller Williams, Gerardo was a Mortgage Consultant where he was quickly admitted to the Executives Members Club because of his customer care and high volume in transactions. His mortgage loan background, has lead him to understand the process of pre-qualifying buyers as well as sellers in order to close the transaction. He exhibited finesse and competence in dealing with various personality types in high stress environment. These abilities made his transition from mortgage loan to real estate a smooth one.

Raised in Ireland, Michael Flanagan learned that through education he could travel the world. While in university of Galway ( Ireland) he traveled extensively throughout Europe. After attaining his Degree in Electronic Eng. Michael took flight and came to California.
He worked in software design but found it more exciting and rewarding to work in real estate. He meshes his knowledge of computers with real estate, and bridges the gap between the real estate world and the virtual world of the internet.
His real estate career first started in 2004 when he helped distressed homeowners who were in foreclosure, either by refinancing or helping with the sale of their home. He always puts his clients’ needs first. He also works with a number of investors whom he finds properties that fit their portfolio, and gives them the returns they seek. His passion is helping Buyers obtain their 'Dream Home'. Hence the motto 'Turning Dreams into Realty'.
In 2005, he was recruited by one of the TOP TEAMS in Keller Williams - LA Group Realty. In 2010 Michael Flanagan became managing partner of LA Group Realty.
During this current market shift he has been contracted by a number of banks to consult and direct with the relief of bank's distressed assets(foreclosures and short sales $300mil portfolios).
